Rust PvE servers

A high count now does not tell you how the server behaves between wipes. Open a server's own page to read its population history: a line that drops to near zero on weekday mornings and rises again at the weekend behaves differently from one that holds a steady number. Wipe cycle matters too. Monthly servers keep one map for four weeks before the forced reset on the first Thursday; biweekly and weekly servers reset more often, which brings a spike at each wipe. Check the Next wipe column before you commit time. Players shown is a live figure, so compare two servers at the same hour of the day, not one now against one remembered from last week.

The PvE tag says players cannot hurt each other, nothing more. It does not tell you whether the server runs mods, how large its group limit is or whether it sits in your region. Read the Tags column on each row for that. Many rows carry modded as well as PvE, which usually means plugins for events, decay or quality of life; a row with vanilla and PvE but no modded chip gives you the base game without player damage. Some PvE servers are zombie servers with added enemies, and some are roleplay-focused. If you want a fighting-free start to learn the game, servers for beginners is worth a look, and the full live server list shows every public server with all tags applied. A server that plays as PvE but never set the tag will not appear here.
