Terms of use

These terms apply whenever you visit rusty server trends dot org. They explain what the site provides and what we expect from you.

What this site is. Rust Server Trends displays information about public Rust servers: player counts, population history, wipes and rankings. The data is collected automatically from Steam's public server list and from the servers themselves, and refreshed every five minutes.

Accuracy. We work to keep the information current, but it is a snapshot, not a guarantee. A server can report a wipe late, publish a misleading name or show a player count that lags behind. Check important details on the server before you commit time to it. For a live overview, see the server list or the player count page.

Your use of the site. You can browse and compare servers without an account or payment. Please avoid sending rapid automated requests that could slow the site for other visitors. If you need the full dataset for research or a project, write to hello@rustservertrends.org and we will discuss it.

Crawlers and automated tools. Search engines, bots and AI crawlers are welcome. Check robots.txt and llms.txt before you start; they show where content lives and how to fetch it responsibly. Keep request rates low enough that human visitors still get fast pages.

Server owners. A server appears here because it is listed publicly. Its page shows what the server itself publishes: name, tags, wipe times and player slots. If you want a detail changed, change it on the server; we usually pick up edits within five minutes.

Independence. Rust Server Trends is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms without notice. The date at the bottom of the page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Questions

Can I use Rust Server Trends data in my own project?

The site is free to browse, but for a full dataset or bulk use, email hello@rustservertrends.org to discuss it. We do not promise that data is complete or error-free. Automated tools should read robots.txt and llms.txt first.

How accurate are the player counts and wipe times?

They are collected every five minutes from public server lists and from servers directly. A server can report a wipe late or show a player count that lags, so treat figures as a snapshot. Check the server itself if a detail matters to you.

Why is my server listed on Rust Server Trends?

Your server appears because it is on Steam's public Rust server list. Everything on its page comes from what the server publishes, such as name, tags and wipe times. To change what is shown, change it on the server; most edits are picked up within five minutes.
